iNQ is all about nurturing the North Queensland region’s innovators, creative makers and entrepreneurs. It consciously brings together imagination on the one hand and the idea of production on the other. It is a place – real and metaphoric – in which imagination can be fostered. It is a framework in which risks and rewards of imagining new possibilities can be shared fairly, because we know that effective and successful innovation happens when people find ways to meaningfully collaborate.

An overview document is available here.

iNQ was launched in early November by the Treasurer of Queensland, Hon. Curtis Pitt. A village of supporters were there in force.

A community of innovators were joined by Hon. Curtis Pitt (Treasurer of Queensland), Hon. Coralee O’Rourke (Minister Representing the Premier in NQ), Scott Stewart MP to kick of iNQ. Here is the group pictured outside the HQ, generously donated by Peter Honeycombe.
